Beautiful Souther Tier

On September 13th, 2023 I played the Stueben county golf course, Bath Country Club. The course is 6068 yards from White tees and and Gold and Red tees at approximately the same 5100 yards. There are many straight holes but several interesting dog legs and nice changes of elevation. The greens have gentle slopes and cause you to think about your putting game.

It was a beautiful early fall sunny day which showcased, the lush green of the of a golf course, and the deep green of hardwood trees of the surrounding hills. The setting is very tranquil, on many tees you only see natural beauty.
The summer has been a difficult time for course maintenance with excessive amounts of rain which keeps grass green, but also creates soil damage in other areas. Even with rainy summer, the course is very well-maintained, mature trees line all of the holes. Areas are trimmed, and there are very few dangers of losing a wayward drive. Bath Country Club was a enjoyable round of golf and great choice in my state “bucket list” quest and an enjoyable place to play and checking off one more county in the beautiful Southern Tier of New York.
