Set atop a hill, Serenity Hill overlooks the stunning valleys of the Southern Tier, offering scenic views that make every shot feel rewarding, no matter the score.

The course plays as a par 36, stretching approximately 2,800 yards across nine holes. For those playing 18, multiple tee boxes give each hole a new angle and distance on the second go-around, adding variety and challenge to your round. The open layout is forgiving—ideal for those less-than-perfect shots—but you can still lose a ball or two in the surrounding trees.

The fairways were in excellent condition, wide enough to offer breathing room but framed with deeper rough that keeps you honest off the tee. As expected from a hilltop course, some side-hill lies and sloped greens add a layer of challenge, especially on approaches and putts. The greens rolled a bit slow, which actually helped when trying to hold the ball on downhill slopes. A few small sand traps round out the design, offering just enough variety without overwhelming the casual player.

Overall, this was an affordable and thoroughly enjoyable golf experience. The views, the friendly vibe, and the back-to-basics feel reminded me of my early golf days—where the joy was in the walk, the company, and the beauty of the course more than the perfection of the greens.
