On July 25, 2025 had the pleasure of playing Niagara Falls Country Club<\/a> as a guest, and from the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by both staff and members\u2014setting the tone for a truly enjoyable round of golf. Playing in Niagara County was the last of my 62 counties and I certainly saved the best for last. Two years ago I met club member Tim Toohey in the NYC train station. Our conversation include golf and I shared my NY county quest. He generously offered to host me when I play Niagara County. We were able to find a convenient day in my western trip to make Niagara the last of my counties. I had saved the best for last it was one of the best of courses.<\/p>\n\n\n

The course itself lies on relatively flat terrain along the scenic Niagara River, offering wide views and a calm, inviting atmosphere. But don\u2019t let the gentle landscape fool you\u2014this course presents a well-crafted challenge. Mature, tree-lined fairways frame each hole beautifully, rewarding accuracy off the tee and punishing errant drives with narrow angles and blocked approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What truly defines the course, however, are the superbly maintained greens and their defenses. Many greens are protected by false fronts and a generous scattering of large, deep bunkers, demanding careful club selection and a confident short game. The greens are fast and full of subtle slopes, making the landing area critical\u2014miss your spot, and you\u2019re facing a tough two-putt or a likely three-putt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conditions were excellent throughout the round, reflecting the club\u2019s attention to detail and pride in presentation. From the manicured fairways to the smooth-rolling greens, every element of the course contributed to a high-quality experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, this was a memorable and rewarding day of golf<\/strong>\u2014not only because of the course\u2019s design and condition but also because of the gracious hospitality and scenic setting. For any passionate golfer who values place, people, and play, Niagara Falls Country Club delivers on all three.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
